Who wrote Vikramacharita?
No:1. Bilhana was a luminary literary figure of 11th
century India. He graced the royal court of King Vikramaditya, fourth of the
Western Chalukya kingdom of Kalyani.
No:2. King Vikramaditya accorded him the title of
‘Vidyapathi’ (Master of Knowledge) as the King was immensely impressed with the
profound knowledge of Bilhana.
No: 3. ‘Vikramankadevacharita’ was the literary
masterpiece by Bilhana who wrote it in honour of his patron King Vikramaditya.
No:4. He employed the epic form to describe the life
history of the king.
